Rupa Maharjan Receives Scholarship

Congratulations to Rupa Maharjan, Vetter Senior Living’ scholarship award recipient for last semester. The VSL Academic Committee for Excellence selected Rupa to receive this honor from many qualified applicants, and Brookestone Village is proud to announce that she has been awarded a $1000 scholarship from Vetter Senior Living.

Originally from Kathmandu, Nepal, Rupa came to the United States in 2010. She received her RN degree from Maharajgunj Nursing Campus in Nepal in 2004, and received her RN license in the United States in 2011. We are happy to say that she has been a Brookestone Village Team Member since 2013.

Rupa said “I have always wanted to help others, that is the reason I decided to become a nurse.” She is driven by wanting to provide quality care for our residents, which is why she decided to enroll in the RN/BSN program at Nebraska Wesleyan University. She’ll be done with her BSN in December of 2016.

Rupa is an outstanding example of both Vetter Senior Living’ vision of providing “Quality Care” and our value of “Excellence”. We are grateful to have her as a part of our Brookestone Village family!
